Film Fest Early Bird Deadline Closing Soon

CANTON, NY–The early bird deadline for the first annual St. Lawrence International Film Festival (October 22-25, 2015) which will take place on both sides of the US/Canada border is closing soon. Filmmakers can still submit their films in the categories of Feature, Short, and Digital projects at the early-bird rate by June 1st.

Feature films are designated as projects over 40 minutes in length; short films are projects under 40 minutes in length. Digital Projects are pilot episodes for serialized content made specifically for digital distribution and consumption.

Deadlines and Submission Fees are as follows: ⦁

Earlybird Deadline: June 1, 2015 ⦁ Fees: Feature -‐ $35, Short and Digital -‐ $25 ⦁ Regular Deadline: July 1, 2015 ⦁ Fees: Feature -‐ $45, Short and Digital -‐ $35 ⦁ Late Deadline: August 1, 2015 ⦁ Fees: Feature -‐ $55, Short and Digital -‐ $45

The St. Lawrence International Film Festival is an annual world-class event established to showcase the best in new and classic cinema in the picturesque St. Lawrence River Valley. Events for the Festival are scheduled to take place in Ottawa, ON, Canton, NY, Potsdam, NY and Brockville, ON. In addition to competition screenings, the Festival will feature an Opening Gala, panel discussions, Q & A’s, a Career Achievement Award given to a film industry notable, an Awards Ceremony and closing party over its three day calendar.

Through partnerships on both sides of the U.S./Canada border, the festival encourages cultural exchange, community engagement, film production, tourism and trade and celebrates the region’s unique natural, artistic and academic resources in a truly international event, headquartered in Canton, NY.
