Federal Election 2011: Where and when you can vote, advance polls, voters list, etc.

Election Day is on Monday, May 2, 2011.  Polls we be open from 9:30am-9:30pm.

Advance polling takes place on Friday, April 22, Saturday, April 23 and Monday, April 25 between 12:00pm and 8:00pm. You can find more info about advance polling at

All Canadian citizens 18 years or older (as of May 2) are eligible to vote.

Everyone registered to vote should receive a

 voter information card
**
in the mail between April 8 and April 13.

If you don't receive this card by April 13, or if you aren't registered, you can visit

or call   1-800-463-6868.

Your local polling place (the location where you vote) will be indicated on your voter information card. You can also find the location at

Youc an also vote by mail or in person at an Elections Canada office by
