The Canadian Film Institute presents a special retrospective tribute to the late Frank Cole. This screening consists of two short films and Cole’s ground breaking first feature film.
-A Documentary (1979) An intimate, loving, and harrowing portrait of Cole’s grandfather filmed during his grandmother’s final struggle with dementia
-The Mountenays (1982) Cinéma vérité style snapshots of a rural family in Eastern Ontario and their incredible joie de vivre.
-A Life (1987) One man, a room, the Sahara. In this symbolically charged film, Frank Cole casts himself in the role of a man on a quest for immortality.
