In the Spotlight, Ottawa’s only performance evening and dinner showcasing world-renowned musical artists with disabilities returns to the Théâtre du Casino Lac-Leamy on Thursday, November 8th.

This year features performances by Scott MacIntyre, Peter Joynt and Brittany Clayton.

Blind from birth and a two-time kidney transplant recipient, Scott MacIntyre knows what it means to persevere despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles. From his early days as a classical concert pianist to capturing the hearts of millions of American Idol viewers with his engaging presence and vocal prowess, Scott has never let challenges keep him from achieving his dreams. As an accomplished pianist, Scott’s heartfelt songs and powerful voice take his audiences on an emotional journey of hardship and hope, entreating listeners that no matter what life brings their way, life is always worth living to the fullest.

Peter Joynt is a rapper, producer, and public speaker from Ottawa. He has been making music for two decades. He is known for a distinctively strong style and energetic live show. One intriguing fact about Peter is that he stutters quite noticeably in conversation, yet it disappears when he performs. It’s one of the many interesting characteristics that sets him apart as an artist and performer.

Brittany Clayton is a multi-instrumentalist (piano, flute, clarinet, recorders, and voice) jazz artist who also happens to be blind. She performs solo or in small groups with other professional musicians in and around the Ottawa area. In addition to performing, Brittany composes and arranges music.

Tickets: $125 – includes a three-course meal, glass of wine and a $50 tax receipt or $1,150 for a corporate table that includes eight complimentary tickers with preferred seating and a glass of wine.
