Come along to the Alliance Française Ottawa to watch an amazing documentary about French language in South-West Louisiana and the struggle to preserve an endangered heritage through immersion schools in the United States.

The director Thomas Cauvin will be there for a discussion after the screening!
He is a History professor at Colorado State University. He spent four years in Lafayette in South-West Louisiana where he worked with French-speaking communities : acadiennes, créoles, et indigènes on the preservation of their cultural and linguistic heritage.
