Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play video games outside, projected in epic proportions?
From November 13 to 18, a Canadian Videogame Competition & Expo is coming to Ottawa for an exciting week-long event! Students, Ottawa residents and visitors will have the chance to test their gaming skills in a fun and interactive environment, while also learning about new and existing locally-based game companies.
Gamers are invited to join this FREE two-part event:
- From November 13 to 17, get the chance to play the new Super Mario Odyssey in different locations across the city.
- On November 18, register for an open bracket tournament featuring Rocket League and FIFA 18.
November 13 – 14 > Carleton University (Engineering Building Courtyard) from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
November 15 – 16 > Ottawa University (University Square) from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
November 17 > ByWard Market (exact location to be announced) from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
November 18 > Makerspace North from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A maximum of 64 teams for Rocket league and 128 players for FIFA will compete in an open bracket Best of three double-elimination tournament at the Makerspace North for a $5,000 prize pool:
- 1st: $2,500
- 2nd: $1,500
- 3rd: $1,000
The tournament will be played on PC for Rocket League and on PS4 for FIFA. Players will be provided with PS4 controllers, but are also free to bring their own.
**All players and teams must check-in at the registration desk on Saturday by 11:00 a.m.**
On November 18, come and see what local companies are up to and how important Ottawa’s game development industry is on a global scale with a special expo about locally-based game companies.
