In partnership with First Nations Child and Family Caring Society and the Legacy of Hope Foundation, St. Andrew’s will launch a new exhibition on Dr. Peter H. Bryce, a former member of St. Andrew’s and one of the first non-Indigenous people to speak out against the Residential Schools System over one hundred years ago. After the launch there will be a panel discussion on the importance of being people of conscience, with Cindy Blackstock, John Milloy, Teresa Edwards, and others. The discussion will be moderated by CBC TV news anchor, Adrian Harewood.
The launch and reception begins at 6 pm, followed by the panel discussion at 7 pm. All are welcome to this free event. This project was funded in part by a grant from the Community Foundation of Ottawa.
