Eric Darwin is back to writing West Side Action

Eric Darwin’s must-read urban issues blog West Side Action is back after a sabbatical of a few months.

Darwin stopped writing a few months back and said in May he was looking for a break from the blog after a 10-year run. The site also went down, along with it all of his past writing. The blog is very popular with people interested in urban topics like planning and transit and a lot of people have been reading it for years.

Last week, he tweeted that the site was coming back. Most of the archives were recovered and put back up – the site is now westsideaction.ca instead of .com.

“I want to keep up my new activities and new adventures, but I also wanted the blog back,” he said in an email to OttawaStart.com. He’s aiming for one short, newsy post a week.
