Cool Ottawa dog park map

Liz from the Ottawa Dog Blog sent along this note, to tell us about a new Dog Park Finder feature:

I wanted to email to officially tell you that the Ottawa Dog Park Finder has FINALLY been launched! It was created by Ottawa Web Developer, Thomas J Bradley ( [ http://thomasjbradley.ca ](http://thomasjbradley.ca/) ) for the Open Data Ottawa movement ( [ http://opendataottawa.ca/ ](http://opendataottawa.ca/) ) and the Ottawa Dog Blog ( [ http://ottawadogblog.ca ](http://ottawadogblog.ca/) ).
You can find it here:

Not only is it a way to locate local parks, but you can search by your location as well as rate or search for a specific park. For the moment, we only have a web version, but Thomas is working on a mobile version that will be released soon. The parks on the map are derived from the official city list as well as whether or not they allow dogs.
I truly believe that this will be a really wonderful resource to the city of Ottawa as well as all Ottawa dog lovers. We only released it 10 hours ago and already it is receiving great praise by the Ottawa Dog Blog readers and Twitter followers.

We’ll be blogging more often about open source web sites like this one in the coming weeks, stay tuned (and send us your suggestions).
