I waited a year for this steaming pile of crap. Come on, what the hell were they thinking?

    fail

This is the worst bluesfest lineup in years. I am beyond disappointed. Billy Bragg is the only redeeming act on here.

    one word: shit

  5. Anonymous says:

    hmm. not really "blues" anymore

SICK flippin line up – good indie rock and electronic music

never say bad things about walk off the earth -these guys know how to JAM!

Seriosly guys? Bluesfest was not named for the music genre, it was because of the beer, they were the major sponser. So don't get all bumhurt that there aren't many blues acts.

Blues fest?? where are all the bands?? worst line up! It should be called hipsters in a field not blues fest. Mark you may loose a lot of money over this one when adults don't attend and your target audience wont be old enough to buy beer. Good one idiot!!!

    nickelback????

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? what a stupid line up. City and color are amazing. All the good bands are slotted to play at the same time as each other? your an idiot

Tiesto? LMFAO? Skrillex? Snoop Dog? wtf.. not bad on a mix cd for the car or in a club.. But this the main stage at an outdoor music festival that used to bring some of the best musicians from around the world to play here in Ottawa.. Don't get me wrong their is a band or two that I wouldn't mind seeing.. but being a person that has bought a festival pass for the passed 10 years, I think

Super impressed – unbelievably great line-up! Just what an outdoor festival should be! Snoop Dogg, Hey Rosetta!, City and Colour, LMFOA, mstrkrft, Tiesto!

  13. Anonymous says:

    great mix, something for everyone!

Haters gonna hate. This lineup is pretty decent in my opinion, if you don't recognize any of the bands then go out and listen to them. Never hurts to be exposed to new music.

I can only assume that some big acts are still to be announced….cause this is the worst lineup that i can remember. However, one major exception is BIG WRECK. This is a true guitar-driven band. Ian Thornley sits among the greatest Canadian guitarists / musicians of our time. GO SEE BIG WRECK….you wont be disappointed!!

  16. Matt H says:

What happened to bands like Lynard Skynyrd, KISS, CARLOS SANTANA, Rush…etc? Those are the names that draw thousands of people to "Blues Fest". I am looking forward to seeing Iron Maiden because I missed their show a couple years ago and Alice Cooper of course. When you start bringing in names that teenagers are into, then you wont get the older crowd. I dont see any of these days

  17. Anonymous says:

This couldn't be a shittier or more recycled line up – Iron Maiden (AGAIN), Snoop Dogg (AGAIN), Blue Rodeo (dont get me started…) I am all for trying out new bands and seeing all types of music live. But this is a music festival that has brought us musicians on the talent level of Van Morrison, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, Sanatana, and Arcade Fire. Now we have LMFAO? Really???? It is

  18. Anonymous says:

Veeeeery unimpressed. Hope this year flops so they understand they can't bring shitty artists to Ottawa. Last year was perfect with Black Keys!

  19. Anonymous says:

    Bad

  20. Anonymous says:

This is a lineup made for young people who like modern music, so all you old people whining about the lineup can go take a nap on their orthopedic beds!!!

  21. Anonymous says:

Buddy, young or old this lineup sucks.. just like you and your stupid comment.. I'd be very surprised if you have ever bought a festival pass before. Because i dont think you, or anyone for that matter, can justify $375 on this tween focused shit fest… idiot..

  22. Anonymous says:

Above poster got it right. Tween or no tween this lineup is plain bad with the exception of a few decent acts who are being padded with absolute crap. Maybe they should call it MDMA Fest. Thinking this is going to be a major financial dissapointment for the organizers even with gov cash and event sponsors. Surely you would have to know that the 25+ crowd are the ones who can afford to spend money

  23. Anonymous says:

I have bought two full festival passes every year for many years .My wife and I buy beer wine and food every night we are there. I enjoy all types of music . That's music Mark not techno crap . Very very disappointed this year hope you do better next year !

Ottawa Bluesfest is a dishonest and a deceitful organization. They sell tickets based on false representation. The Bluesfest organization claims to have the right to sell tickets to the public to see specific artists based on their published schedule and without notice or warning stage totally different artists.

This happened to my wife and I purchasing tickets to see Thievery
