Former CTV Ottawa news anchor Carol Anne Meehan and former CFRA news anchor Norman Jack have returned to the Ottawa news scene with a new weekly program entitled “Coffee with…”

“There are so many interesting people doing interesting things in the Ottawa area,” said Meehan.

“Our new program gives us the opportunity to bring their stories to you.”

“Coffee with…” debuts on Wednesday March 7th on YouTube with highlights posted on Facebook and Twitter. The show will also be aired as a podcast on Soundcloud.

“With today’s technology, we can bypass traditional media, with all its restrictions, and bring our interviews with these fascinating people directly to you,” said Jack.

“By subscribing to our YouTube channel, you’ll receive a notification each Thursday when a new show is aired, with segments broadcast on our other social media platforms.”

The lineup includes interviews with an Ottawa veteran of the CFL who worries about head injuries, a former radio personality who now makes saving horses her top priority, and a Gatineau man who collects, and races, VERY expensive cars.

The two journalists are also encouraging people to submit their ideas for interviews.

“If you know someone who has a fascinating story to tell, or if you’d like to find out more about someone who interests you, email us at CoffeeWithOttawa@gmail.com,” said Meehan.

“We’re looking forward to bringing the captivating stories about residents of our region to our audience.”

    Good luck to you both.
    It sounds like an interesting concept, sort of like, the Regional Contact show…{which I loved}
