CityFolk 2017 lineup announced

_ (Via CityFolk) _ OTTAWA, May 16, 2017— CityFolk festival organizers today announced the initial line-up for their 2017 program.

Confirmed acts to date include: _ Jack Johnson; Father John Misty; Rodriguez; Amanda Marshall; Post Malone; Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats; Broken Social Scene; Margo Price; Corb Lund & Ian Tyson; Allan Rayman; Bahamas; Ruth B; Royal Canoe; The Philosopher Kings; Matt Mays; Scott Helman; A Tribute to Jesse Winchester; Big Thief; Fred Penner; Son Little; Lucy Dacus; Tank and The Bangas; Common Deer; Dead Flowers ; Rose Cousins; Twain; The Suitcase Junket; NEFE; and Sweet Crude, _ with more to be announced in the weeks ahead.

CityFolk will also feature an _ encore _ presentation of Marvest in neighbouring Bank Street area venues, with performers, places, and times to be announced once that program is confirmed. CityFolk will take place at Lansdowne Park.

“Lansdowne Park provides us, once again, with an accessible world-class venue that matches up nicely with our mandate of offering an exceptional festival experience,” says CityFolk’s executive and artistic director Mark Monahan. “We’re also stoked about this year’s line-up―several of these acts have been on our wish list for quite a few years now.”

During CityFolk, ticket holders will have access to performances on the City Stage, located on the Great Lawn, and performances on the RAVENLAW Stage in the Aberdeen Pavilion, which will offer a wide variety of top-end acts and feature a food and micro-brew experience.

A special, limited pre-sale offer with discounted prices begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17. The regular ‘on-sale’ begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 18 when all levels of tickets are up for grabs, including single- and multiple-day tickets. This year’s CityFolk runs for five days, from Wednesday, September 13 through Sunday, September 17. The festival site is licensed and offers a wide variety of food, beverages, and merchandise concessions.  Check out the CityFolk website for more to come in the weeks ahead.
