Capital Urbanism Lab Event: Invasive Species: Regional Issues and Local Actions

5:30 pm to 6:30 pm: information kiosks
6:30 pm to 8 pm: expert panel

The National Capital Commission (NCC) is pleased to invite the public to a discussion about regional issues around invasive species. Which species are invasive? What impact are they having, and what challenges do they bring? Remedial action projects will be presented, along with suggested actions that citizens can take to minimize the impact of invasive species.

The panel will consist of the following experts:

Iola Price, Ontario Invasive Plants Council
Naomi Cappuccino, Carleton University
Eric Richard, Les amis de la montagne, Mount Royal Park

The public will have the opportunity to address their comments and questions to the expert panel.

Simultaneous translation will be available.
