#TheBigSticky Social is Back! This Civic Long Weekend in Canada’s Capital is all about the best in Ribs, Chicken and Pulled Pork.

Does your mouth water when you think about delicious, slow roasting goodness on the BBQ? Then get your finger licking, tongue hanging, sticky lips smacking ready for Capital Ribfest, July 28-31 at Festivals Plaza, Ottawa City Hall in beautiful downtown.

Not only are we bringing you the Best in BBQ, but we are featuring a new Kids Fun Zone, Rock Climbing Wall, a new Chile Wine Truck, fresh foodies and desserts, and we’ve also added a new sticky competition for the “King or Queen of the Q” where you at home can win Best Sauce Judged by the Pro Ribbers themselves. Are you freakin’ kiddin’ me? Back again this year’ is the very popular Best in Ribs Competition, Best in Pulled Pork and Chicken, Pulled Pork Eating Contest with a sticky twist.

Live entertainment featuring Canadian Recording Artist, Sarah Smith Band, The Laffs, Lucky Ron, Ottawa’s Rockin’ Pride Be Damned, Rick Ocasek, No Cars, the amazing Capital Beetles, and the Hill Billy Rockers themselves, The Devillaires Band. We’re also excited to offer bbq demonstrations presented by Capital BBQ.

“Ribfest at City Hall has it all. This is where you can see, smell, and taste it all in the round while enjoying a delicious craft pint from Ottawa’s Broadhead Beer or a cold beverage of your choice. It’s Ribfest in Ottawa like no where else,” says Les Gagne, Festival Director and Producer. “We want to bring Ottawans, Tourists and all Canadians to Ottawa for a truly sticky spectacular festival experience.”

Ribfest at City Hall is a family friendly festival with FREE admission. It’s an easy walk to everything in Ottawa with close access to public transit, and loads of street and lot parking all around.
