 Ottawa, ON
**
– The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa (BGCO) is inviting the public to its Annual General Meeting and scholarship presentation on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

Held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Club’s Britannia location (2825 Dumaurier Avenue), the event will highlight the activities of the Club and its members throughout the past year. In addition, more than $27,000 in scholarships will be presented to BGCO members as they prepare to enter post-secondary schooling.

“Our Annual General Meeting and scholarship presentation is a great time to take stock of all that the great work the Club, our staff and our Members have done in the last year,” says Colleen Mooney, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. “I’m incredibly proud to share these achievements with our supporters and other stakeholders.”

“In particular, the work of our nine scholarship winners has been commendable,” Mooney adds. “This is a diverse group of teenagers, each who has worked hard to recognize their potential and reach their goals of post-secondary school. On May 27, they’ll get a chance to meet some of the generous individuals who are funding the scholarships.”

The media and members of the public are invited to attend this event. Light refreshments will be served. Guests can RSVP
