With Bluesfest finished for another year, Ottawa music fans should look be looking eagerly ahead to the end of August for this year’s edition of the i(heart)music festival. It’s a three day festival from August 26-28, with shows at Mavericks and Cafe Dekcuf downtown. Here’s the line-up:

Thursday, August 26th
Parlovr (download “Pen To The Paper“)
Gramercy Riffs
Giant Hand
Centretown Cripplers

Friday, August 27th
Amos the Transparent
The Darcys (download “Edmonton To Purgatory“)
Old Crowns

Saturday, August 28th
The Love Machine
The Most Serene Republic (download “Proposition 61“)
Still Life Still
Whale Tooth
Crush Buildings
Loon Choir

The annual festival is run by Matt Pollesel, who also runs i(heart)music, a great music blog. He writes on the blog: It’s kind of crazy when I think about it, but this coming Labour Day marks the fifth anniversary of this site. To celebrate, I’ve put together the biggest i(heart)music festival yet.”
