Belfast Road reopens to regular traffic

Belfast Road between Coventry Road and Trainyards Drive has re-opened to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

Closed in mid-2014 to facilitate construction of the O-Train Confederation Line Belfast Yard Maintenance and Storage Facility, this reopening signifies another milestone in Ottawa’s light rail transit (LRT) project. This reopening also marks the completion of work to replace the Belfast Bridge over Highway 417 and will have a positive impact on local traffic.

The O-Train Confederation Line light rail transit (LRT) project is an Ottawa on the Move project. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
