As per every year it seems DMB has a few dates that could potentially work based on their off days and shorter driving distance to/from the Capital.

    Dave Matthews Band 2016 dates:

Note in particular, July 9 in Pennsylvania (~9h to Ottawa) followed by two off days and then a NH show July 12 (~5.5h drive)… meaning a possible July 11 show here?

Even more notable, they finish a Saratoga Springs show (4.5h drive?) July 16 and then two off days and a July 19 show in Toronto (4.5h drive, or less in the middle of the night perhaps!).. in which case they could close out the fest July 17.

Historically Bluesfest has shared a lot of artists with the following festivals:

Quebec Summer Music Festival July 7-17 – this is the big one that Bluesfest shares a lot of its major headliners with, but they usually release their lineup after Bluesfest. But for 2016 they’ve already announced that Sting & Peter Gabriel will be there, so that’s a possibility.

Cavendish festival July 8-10 – This year’s lineup includes Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, The Band Perry, Old Dominion. I’d expect a few of those to be in Ottawa.

Rock the Park London ON July 13-16. Their lineup includes City & Colour, Awolnation, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, Brad Paisley, Tim Hicks and others.

    Other possibilities:

    – Metric: They have a cross-Canada tour in spring 2016 but are skipping Ottawa, could be a sign Bluesfest booked them
