Just wondering if you’ll be expanding StittsvilleCentral to include Kanata now – or perhaps start up KanataCentral? Kanata in particular is left without a local news outlet of any kind. I’d be willing to help out.

Might be useful to note whether these media outlets are owned independently or as part of a chain.

    • To our knowledge none are owned by large corporations like Postmedia. Some may be like the Kitchissippi Times, where they are part of a small chain. The Times is owned by Mark Sutcliffe’s company, which also publishes the Ottawa Business Journal. — Devyn.

Perspectives Vanier is another great (bilingual!) community paper.

Image in Sandy Hill (http://home.imagesandyhill.org/) does an excellent job of reporting on Sandy Hill issues and others slightly farther afield.

The Orléans Star/l’Express papers are owned by TC AKA TransContinental Press, right?

Also, I don’t see the Sandy Hill Image on this list.

Don’t forget the Lowertown Echo, which is back after a short hiatus: http://www.lowertown-basseville.ca/echo.html
