The City of Ottawa’s City Clerk and Solicitor has officially declared the 2014 municipal election results official.

Newly elected officials will be sworn in to begin their new duties on December 1, 2014.

During the transition period, the City Clerk and Solicitor’s Office will be conducting a New Councillor Orientation Program. The Councillors-elect receive workshops on such topics as the role of Councillors, the basics of procedures and budgets, casework training, and introductions to the Planning Act and the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).

These workshops, which are open to the media, are slated to begin on November 4 and will run into the first three weeks of November. Full results are available at http://ottawa.ca/vote
